Food brings us together, even with people we’ve never met. We're starting a holiday of breaking "bread" together to build new friendships every year. You can organize a gathering where ever you are.
Let's be honest: as a society, we've got problems. We are divided, isolated and lonely (and these problems only got worse during Covid). Many of us crave real, deep connections but don't know where to begin. That's where this event comes in: all you have to do is show up and be you. We'll provide the food, the conversation and the connections.
People of all ages who self report as "lonely" is at an all-time high. The effects are more lethal than smoking 15 cigarettes a day. The pandemic made it worse but it won't magically go away once the pandemic is over. It's a looming national crisis.
But we believe if we work together, we can stop the crisis.
We're joining forces because we are passionate about bringing people together, taking on loneliness and giving people a sense of connection and belonging. Through this event and other efforts, we're committed to making America feel connected again.
